Ferrite Magnets

Ferrite is a magnetic material mainly composed of iron oxides. It is generally manufactured by sintering iron oxide together with one or more metal oxides at high temperatures. As a non-metallic magnetic material, ferrite boasts advantages including low cost, high density, high hardness, great brittleness, excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. It is a widely used basic magnetic material in various industrial fields.

Ferrite is a magnetic material mainly composed of iron oxides. It is generally produced by sintering iron oxide with one or more metal oxides at high temperatures. As a non-metallic magnetic material, ferrite features low cost, high density, high hardness, high brittleness, excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. It is a fundamental magnetic material widely adopted across all industrial sectors.

Compared with rare earth magnets, ferrite delivers relatively weaker magnetic force yet boasts prominent price advantages. It is ideal for mass-production applications including conventional magnetic attraction, fixation, magnetic conduction, filtering, magnetic shielding and motor magnetic circuits.

Main Shapes of Ferrite Magnets

1. Square / Rectangular Ferrite Magnets

These are solid rectangular blocks with relatively large thickness and surface area, suitable for scenarios requiring strong supporting force, fixing force and stable installation.

Main applications: Magnetic fixation, equipment bases, tooling fixtures, mold magnetic positioning, mechanical stops, etc.

2. Round Ferrite Magnets

Most are solid round discs with even stress distribution and easy installation, widely used for applications requiring circular fitting and uniform adsorption area.

3. Ring Ferrite Magnets

With a central through-hole, they can be sleeved onto shafts, screws, rods or motor rotors, matching rotary, assembly and magnetic conduction structures.

4. Arc / Segment Ferrite Magnets

5. Strip Ferrite Magnets

6. Slice Ferrite Magnets

Classification by Material Properties

1. Hard Ferrite (Permanent Ferrite Magnets)

They possess strong permanent magnetism and are resistant to demagnetization, applied in scenarios needing long-term adsorption and stable magnetic fields.

Typical uses: Door stops, cabinet catches, magnetic suction cups, motors, generators, magnetic circuit assemblies, etc.

2. Soft Ferrite Magnets

Easily magnetized under external magnetic fields; magnetism fades or disappears once the external field is removed. Mainly used for magnetic conduction, filtering, shielding and high-frequency circuits.

Typical uses: Transformers, inductance coils, filters, electromagnetic shielding, high-frequency electronic equipment, etc.
